Monica Cozzi is a PhD student at the University of Parma. She’s graduated with a Master degree in Molecular and Medical Biotechnology at the University of Verona, presenting an experimental thesis entitled “Development of a CRISPR/Cas9 miR-knockout cell model to study the miR-34a role in NF-κB pathway activation”. Her PhD project focuses on the study and characterization of proteins involved in the pathway of iron assimilation by S. aureus and their targeting for the development of new molecules with antimicrobial activity or adjuvants of antimicrobial therapy.
