Valentina Botti is a postdoctoral AIRC fellow at the Biophysics and Nanoscience Centre. She graduated in Chemistry and obtained her PhD in Biotechnology from the University of Perugia, where she characterized the binding modes of N-methylpyridinium- and N-methylquinolinium- fluorophores with nucleic acids through spectroscopic and biochemical methods. She is currently working on an AIRC project investigating the interaction between microRNAs and aptamers for the development of biosensors.
